IT DEVELOPMENT

IN DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF RELIGIOUS COURTS BODY

Preface

The rapid development of information technology (IT) brings out a big change to many aspects of life including the governmental public services, resulting in the increase of public awareness of how the governmental public services should be. The excellent quality of IT is one way to provide effective and efficient services. That is why BADILAG (Badan Peradilan Agama, Religious Judicature Body) issued policy of IT usage in BADILAG that later becomes more comprehensive after The Supreme Court issued Decree of the Chief Justice (SK KMA) No.144/2007 regarding Information Transparency in Court.

The usage of IT in BADILAG is applied from simple level for daily activities (back office), data processing, up to management information system. For this last mentioned, Directorate General of BADILAG has developed two information systems concerning its function in fostering judicial staff and case administration. Both information systems are SIADPA (Sistem Informasi dan Administrasi Perkara Pengadilan Agama, Case Management System of Religious Court) and SIMPEG (Sistem Informasi Manajemen Kepegawaian, Personnel Management Information System). Furthermore, to support court information transparency, BADILAG pioneered website development which is later followed by PTA (Pengadilan Tinggi Agama, High Religious Courts/HRC) and PA (Pengadilan Agama, Religious Courts/RC) all over Indonesia.
