Ten New Officials of Echelon IV Are Installed

The Director General of the Religious Courts, Wahyu Widiana installed ten new officials of Echelon IV working at the Directorate General of the Religious Courts (known as Badilag).  The inauguration ceremony is held at 11th floor of Secretariat Building of the Supreme Court.

Ten new officials were Fenny Sulistyaningsih, Susi Ari Purwanti, Bambang Subroto, Rafiuddin, Nurul Huda, Rosiah, Tristi Sri Setiawati, Achmad Suyatno, Tohir, and Chrisnayeti.

In his speech, Wahyu Widiana congratulated ten new officials and hopes them can improve their work performance. He also appreciated those who worked well.

According to him, leadership of Badilag recognized that some staffs deserve to be installed as officials of echelon IV. They have been showing their good performance of work. In this case, Badilag promotes some of them for better position.

Struggle Along for Posbakum

The Ministry of Law and Human Rights is making the Ministry’s Regulation and the Government Regulation. The regulations are about legal aid in which was stipulated in the Law No. 16 of 2011 on Legal Aid.

Some issues related to the venue of Legal Aid Post (Posbakum), budget, and requirement for accessing Posbakum remain unclear. In the draft of the regulatons, it has not been mentioned about the venue of Posbakum. Other issue is on whether people can access the service without poor card (SKTM).

The Director General of the Religious Courts, Wahyu Widiana said that he was worry if people could access the service due to a strict condition and requirement. According to him, people often faced a serious obstacle in getting the Poor Card. They had to pay more money rather than they pay service to the court.

Badilag, HISSI and MES Signed MoU

The Directorate General of the Religious Courts (Badilag), Sharia Intellectual and Scholar Association (HISSI) and Sharia Economic Community (MES) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Monday (7/5/2012).

The venue of signing of the MoU was the meeting room of Badilag at 6th floor. It was signed by Wahyu Widiana as the Director General of Badilag, Dr. Jaenal Arifin as Secretary General of HISSI and Dr. Yuslam Fauzi as Chief of MES.

Vice Chief Justice for Non Judicial Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Kamil and Justice, Prof Abdul were also attending the signing.

According to Wahyu Widiana, the important purpose of the MoU was to develop law of Shari economic. Besides, it was also aimed to enhance skill of judges in handling Sharia economic cases.

Deputy Chief Justice for Civil Case Visited RC of Martapura

Deputy Chief Justice for Civil Cases, H. Atja Sondjaja visited the Religious Court of Martapura. He was accompanied by a team of United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The main purpose of their visit was to verify the implementation of case automation. This court has successfully chosen as one of court models.

In this court, Atja Sondjaja was interested to look at the information desk. He found that the court had some interesting media in providing information to the justice seekers. It included touch screen computer, TV and online case information.

40 Judges Will Participate Training in Saudi Arabia

The Directorate General of the Religious Courts will send around 40 judges to participate training in Saudi Arabia.

In September last year, the Director of  Ma’had Ali Li Qadha’, Dr. Abdurrahman Bin Salamah al-Muzaiyani came to Indonesia. He held an interview with around 48 judges. It was aimed to test whether judges were capable to participate the training or not.

Of 48 judges, only 40 judges will participate the training in which will be focused on Shari’a economic.

It is planned that all participants will leave from Indonesia at May 12, 2012.
