Badilag, HISSI and MES Signed MoU

The Directorate General of the Religious Courts (Badilag), Sharia Intellectual and Scholar Association (HISSI) and Sharia Economic Community (MES) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Monday (7/5/2012).

The venue of signing of the MoU was the meeting room of Badilag at 6th floor. It was signed by Wahyu Widiana as the Director General of Badilag, Dr. Jaenal Arifin as Secretary General of HISSI and Dr. Yuslam Fauzi as Chief of MES.

Vice Chief Justice for Non Judicial Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Kamil and Justice, Prof Abdul were also attending the signing.

According to Wahyu Widiana, the important purpose of the MoU was to develop law of Shari economic. Besides, it was also aimed to enhance skill of judges in handling Sharia economic cases.

The Religious Courts got a valuable beneficial by signing this MoU. It will strengthen the competence and jurisdiction of the Religious Courts since they were given by the Law to settle Sharia economic cases.

Badilag has been composing a book on material and procedural law on Sharia economic.

 

Dr. Jaenal Arifin said that this MoU would enable judges to participate a training in enhancing their skill on the matters.

In addition, scholars of Sharia faculty would get wide chance to be practitioners in Islamic banking and in other Sharia economic institutions.

Dr. Ahmal Kamil said that the Supreme Court had held certification for judges in handling Sharia economic cases filed to the Religious Courts.

He also emphasized the importance of public trust. According to him, public trust would be only created by two things including excellent morality and professionalism.
