Information Desk is One Effective Way to Eradicate Deviation

Jakarta | badilag.net
The Religious Court of Surabaya has completely implemented “information desk”. Before now, “information desk” was located at deep within a room which was difficult to be access by justice seekers.

Now, “information desk” is located in front of waiting room. Everyone can get any information they need very easily.

Syarif Hidayat, SH is appointed as officer of this information desk. He is also assisted by 10 candidates of judges who are on job training. Syarif Hidayat is also an Junitor Registrar for volunteer cases.

Having participated a workshop on information desk last March, Syarif Hidayat suggested the chief of the Religious Court of Surabaya to rearrange the layout of information desk. Initially, this court got problem related to furniture that should be available to create good information desk. Now this court has proper information desk.

Syarif Hidayat is now applying skills and knowledge he got from the training. The training was held by the Directorate General of the Religious Court with collaboration with Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ). It seemed that training was successful in creating excellent officers for information desk.

Information desk in this court is also equipped by touch screen computer. This computer is connected with case management system known as SIADPA. Justice seekers will immediately find information they need by just touching the screen.

Having been rearranged, information desk could service more people effectively.
“There were three fold increases of people served by information desk,” Syarif Hidayat said.

In this court, justice seekers will be only served by officer of information desk. They are prohibited to come to judges and other officials of courts. Therefore, the possibility of illegal communication between judges and justice seekers will be reduced and prevented.
